If you have laid eyes on the kingdom only from afar, this is your opportunity to experience the other side of the Jordan River in a unique pairing of swimming with a visit to Petra and Wadi Rum.

We will update when registration opens.

We’ll stay at a 5-star hotel in Aqaba, right next to the beach, and have swimming sessions near the hotel and in nature reserves around the bay.

Schedule:

  • Meet on the Israeli side of the border.

  • A guided tour of the ancient city of Petra, the World Heritage site with spectacular architecture cut into the rose-colored sandstone cliffs.

  • Work in the Gulf of Aqaba on techniques for open water swimming. See sunken planes and tanks. 

  • A guided jeep tour of the sandstone cliffs of Wadi Rum, then dinner under the star-lit sky. 

  • Half-day cruise with lunch along the shore of Aqaba; diving into the water from the boat.

Who is this trip suitable for?

  • People who haven’t been to Petra and Wadi Rum.

  • Anyone who can swim freestyle at least 300 meters.

Included:

Extreme travel insurance and corona insurance, guided tours to Petra and Wadi Rum, lodging with half-board, transportation within Jordan, border crossings, half a day’s cruise, professional coaching by the Swim The Seas crew.
